Welcome to the IGZones website! This guide will explain the steps necessary to begin utilizing the IGZones client and start playing your favorite multiplayer game online!

IGZones is a program that allows you to chat with others and find game rooms to play Age of Empires Series games. This guide will teach you how to use IGZones to its fullest extent and allow you to register without any problems as long as you follow each step carefully.

Step 1: Website

To begin using IGZones, you must first register an account with this website. On your right you should see a Login box, underneath you should see a link called Create New Account, click that, and you should come to a registration page. Enter your information accurately and make sure you type in a VALID email address; you will receive an activation email just make sure it doesn't get hidden in your spam inbox or your bulk/junk mail folders (If you cannot receive this email in 10 minutes, try to get a new email address from gmail.com and try again). Try to use a strong password (usually over 8 characters and mixed with numbers and letters). When you enter all your information including Nationality and Connection, submit the form. Be sure to write down your username and password, along with correct casing, some letters may be capital, and you will get a 40000 error if you do not type it exactly as you registered.

Now that you have created your account, you may now edit your own profile, while you download the LATEST version of the program from the right side panel (after you are logged in).

Step 2: Launch IGZ from its desktop shortcut or launch via Website

After you have downloaded the latest version, you should install the program to its appropriate location and then run IGZones.exe from either the shortcuts provided or from Start > All Programs > IGZones (for Windows XP).

In the login menu, please enter your username and password that you just created in the website.

You may click save-login and auto-login to remember your information so that you won't have to login anymore.

You may also use the website to launch your lobbies, via the left panel called "Games".

If you are not launching from the website, you may have to select your lobbies, and click "auto-join" or "AJ" to automatically join your favorite lobbies and games.

Now you may chat with other players and join their games as long as you have the correct patches. Be sure that the correct game is installed in your computer properly.

IGZ also offers many other features such as statistics for matches, rating histories, rating top lists, and Clan support features, please look around the site for those features.

After you have completed the steps necessary to register and being utilitizing the IGZones client, please go ahead and register an account with our IGZones community, located at http://www.igzones.net/forums and introduce yourself! Along with meeting other players and faces, you will have access to our tech support and be able to see updates as soon as they are released!

[b]HOW TO START

To play at IGZ, you need:
- The Legal Game CD
- The latest Microsoft game patches installed
- Be registered at IGZones.com
- Downloaded and installed the client

Because the game is peer to peer, you also need to have a fixed ip to the pc and forwarded the game ports on your router.
If you are directly connected to a proper modem, you will NOT need a fixed ip or ports open

Another way you may be able to play is by using UPNP without setting up the router or a fixed ip. Read here:

Bienvenidos al sitio IGZones! Esta guia explica los paso a seguir para usar el cliente IGZones y para poder jugar ese grandioso juego en linea con otros fanáticos!

IGZones es una aplicación que te permite chatear con otros y encontar salas de juego para jugar la serie del Age of Empires. Esta guia te enseñará como usar IGZones de manera adecuada, guiándote en cómo registrarte sin ningún problema, siempre y cuando sigas, cuidadosamente, cada paso.

Paso 1: Sitio

Para empezar a usar IGZones, primero debes registrar una cuenta. Del lado derecho, verás una cajita para identificarse, debajo verás un enlace llamado "Create a New Account", dale ahi, y serás llevado a una página de registro. Pon tu información, como se pide y asegúrate de dar una dirección de Correo Electrónico VALIDA. Después recibirás un correo electrónico para activar tu cuenta; asegúrate de que no vaya a parar a "spam", etc. Si no recibes este correo en 10 minutos, intenta de nuevo con una dirección correo electrónico nuevo como "gmail.com" e intenta de otra vez. Por favor, usa un password seguro, aue tenga más de 8 caracteres, incluyendo letras y números que es una buena opción. Cuando hayas iingresado tu información, incluida tu nacionalidad y tipo de conección, mándala. Asegúrate de escribir tu nombre de usuario y password, fíjate bien que las letras sean mayúsculas y/o minúsculas, de acuerdo a como te registrastes, de haber un error aqui, verás el mensaje de error 40000.

Ahora que has creado tu cuenta, puedes editar tu perfil mientras bajas la versión más actualizada del cliente, que esta del lado derecho del panel (después de haberte identificado).

Paso 2: Abre IGZ usando el ícono que apareciá después de la instalación. También se puede hacer a través del sitio IGZ.

Después de haber descargado la versión mas nueva, asegúrate de instalarla en la ruta adecuada. Una vez hecho esto, abre IGZones.exe usando, ya sea el ícono de Acceso Directo, o el del menu Inicio > Programas > IGZones (para Windows XP)

En el menu para identificarse, pon el nombre de usuario y la clave que registrastes en el sitio

Si quieres, puedes habilitar la opción auto-login para que tu información quede registrada en el menu y no tengas que identificarte después.

También puedes abrir las salas de juego a través del sitio usando la opción del lado izquierdo "Games".

Si no lanzas a través del sitio, tendrás que seleccionar lobby, y darle a "auto-join" o "AJ" para unirte automáticamente a tus lobbies y juegos favoritos.

Ahora puedes chatear con otros jugadores y unirte a sus juegos, siempre y cuando tengas los parches correctos. Asegúrate de tener instalado adecuadamente el juego que intentas jugar.

IGZ también ofrece muchas otras funciones como: estadísticas de los encuentros, historial de tu puntaje, lista de los mejores, y funciones de soporte para Clanes. Siéntete libre de explorar y encontrar las funciones del sitio.
